BENDIGO’S 94TH ANNUAL EISTEDDFOD HAS COME TO AN END!

After six weekends of music covering all genres – piano, brass, orchestral instruments, classical vocal, contemporary vocal, school choirs, and schools instrumental which commenced in May and culminated in the Leila Watson Memorial Championship; Classical and Theatrical Dance commenced on 29th June and ran for fourteen consecutive days finishing on 12th July 2019 with the Foundry Invitational Championship in the evening.

The event was highly successful this year and we can’t wait to facilitate our 95th Annual Eisteddfod in 2020. Growth areas of the competitions continue to be the Contemporary Vocal sections and Dance. For these particular disciplines, people have come in large numbers from across the state and also interstate. The committee hopes in 2020 we see all of our disciplines strengthen and grow in entries so please spread the word.

We’d like to thank each and every one of our competitors, their dedicated families and of course our generous volunteers who selflessly donate their time, energy and talents to ensure the competition continues to run successfully.

Wow! We have certainly been busy!

Our 94th Eisteddfod is well underway having Piano, Orchestral and Primary School Groups already have performed. All have been amazing competitors so far and this wonderful young talent inspires us to keep on going! We very much look forward to what the upcoming sessions and genres have in store for us.

Music running sheets are listed under our running sheets tabs. Programs are purchasable at the competitions for those who weren’t able pre-order one. Dance running sheets will also be added in the coming weeks.

A reminder to everyone that we do not have eftpos at the competitions – cash only. Audience entry is purchased on the day and our canteen run by amazing volunteers will be stocked and available at all sessions.

This year we are sadly already experiencing a shortage in volunteers. The committee itself is a small group of volunteers who would truly be grateful to hear from anyone willing to assist us on days of competition. We need your help to make the days run smoothly!
